Blowing Rock's Winterfest Celebration of 2010 brought an unexpected Appalachian Women's Fund fundraising opportunity -- through some brave AWF souls participating in the Polar Plunge. It was quite a success and we hope to make it an annual event and fundraising opportunity. Thank you to these brave souls that first, arrived at Chetola despite dangerous winter driving conditions and second, plunged into 38 degree water for the sake of funding AWF projects:
