About LUNAFEST

lunafest trailer

Established in 2000 by the creators of Luna Bar, LUNAFEST connects women, their stories and their causes through film. This traveling film festival spotlights the work of a diverse array of talented women filmmakers with intelligent, funny and thought-provoking themes.

This season’s program of nine selected films will compel discussion, make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to make a difference in your community. Incredibly diverse in style and content, LUNAFEST is united by a common thread of exceptional storytelling - by, for and about women.

BRA-Va!

Decorating bras for a cause

BRAva logo

This LUNAFEST event will feature bras decorated by folks like you! Individuals and groups can submit a decorated bra to go on display at both LUNAFEST screenings. Attendees will vote on the bras by adding change/dollars to a corresponding jar (so bring cash!), and the best bras will be auctioned off during intermission. Proceeds from voting and auction will be donated to the Breast Cancer Fund.

Want to decorate a bra? Contact Tara Stollenmaier at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . All bra sumbissions must be delivered to Earth Fare by Wednesday, October 31st. If you would like to decorate a bra but need to borrow some craft materials, just let Tara know. We will schedule a bra-decorating workshop with Elkland Art Center a week or two before the event.
