Appalachian Women's Fund is a grantmaking organization formed by a diverse group of concerned women in our community who want to make a positive impact on the lives of women and girls in the mountains of North Carolina.

All decisions are made by women for women.

The Appalachian Women's Fund (AWF) is a philanthropic catalyst for social change and economic justice with the goal of creating a community where all women and girls reach their full potential.

Appalachian Women's Fund believes that all women and girls have the right to equality, safety, opportunity and self-determination in every aspect of their lives. We recognize our role as a leader in this community by working to achieve these principles through our grant making, advocacy and community building.
