Executive Director

Parker Stevens grew up in the mountains around Boone, NC. She attended college at UNC Chapel Hill where she studied Public Health and worked with children as a science educator. Parker loves to travel and briefly lived in Tanzania where she co-founded a microfinance initiative in a small woodcarving market in Dar es Salaam. In 2009 she moved back to the mountains and joined Appalachian Voices, a regional environmental nonprofit, where she worked on various aspects of fundraising, membership development, communications, and event planning.
